First of all we want to say THANK YOU! We had a blast. Our first Women’S Outdoor Festival is in the books and we all hope you enjoyed it as much as we did.
Under the theme FROM PASSION TO PROGRESSION it was our aim to connect women loving the outdoors and desire to work in the industry. Women in sports generally face gender specific challenges and issues that are often overlooked in the gender-mixed - mostly male dominated - environment.
WE WANTED TO CHALLENGE THIS FACT:
Throughout the day, all participants had the opportunity to join various sports activities and our motivated group of ladies did a great job!
We thought challenging our bodies was not enough. Our mind is just as important as our bodies, which is why our penal discussions at night were of major importance for us. Our moderator Tanja, CEO from Chixxs on Board, did an amazing job of guiding us through the night.
Members of the penal discussions were:
- Christine Egger, Softgood Manager Burton Europe
- Anne Wangler, Skier
- Sharon and Magda, Sports Enthusiasts from Peeks and Rosy Cheeks
All of them gave great insights into their perception of women in the outdoor industry from different perspectives.
